PFI PLANT

On modern systems, the most common load is the inductive type simply due to the nature of loads that consume electricity. A common characteristic of power factor decreases with increased all inductive loads from doorbells to transformers. For Power factor improvement purpose, capacitor banks are connected in parallel with those devices which work on low power factor. These capacitors provide leading current which equalizer the lagging inductive component of load thus power factor of the load circuit is improved.
